This is looking great @georgedonnelly, thanks for the contribution!
Is this list derived from anywhere in particular, or is it original? (I want to verify compatibility with OTR's CC0 licensing before merging.)
This list seems to cover the known spectrum of tokens. The BCMR spec has some other examples, but I think this list includes all of the types of tags we'd currently expect to have in OTR.
I have 2 nits:
privacy-token
– what do you envision fitting into this tag? Between fungible CashTokens (on BCH) and BCH, I expect that BCH will have the best privacy, and CashTokens aren't likely to be able to implement any features that aren't available to BCH. (Of course, you could have tokens representing "votecoins" for a privacy-focused sidechain, but I still wouldn't consider those tokens to be "Privacy Tokens". The tokens on that sidechain would be the privacy tokens, and the fungible CashTokens referenced by OTR would be utility-token
s, governance-token
s, etc.) nft
– I think this tag might be overly broad. Every category with NFTs is already indicated by the presence of the nfts
field, so we probably don't need to add an equivalent tag. Maybe narrowing it down to something like collectible
would be more useful? Thanks for taking a look!
I got the list from GPT4. I can rewrite myself from scratch if you like, no problem at all.
I agree, privacy-token does not fit.
re collectible
, that's interesting... I wonder if there should be more categories of NFTs to consider?

I want to offer this initial draft of a list of tags for tokens and see what the community thinks about token tags in BCMRs.
