Connects to #201

To test:

Attempt to login with an incorrect username or password, and observe that you get the correct error message
Attempt to login with the correct username/password, but with bad network connectivity (I put my hpone into Airplane mode), and observe that you get the correct error message.

Looks good when testing on release build 172 for both LA and Cloud.
