Household income looks wrong #35

The figure should be around R10k. Also - median would be better because a couple of rich households could skew the number

sorry - my mistake. The mean is correct but you should be using the median instead which is around R20k-R40k

I don't believe we can calculate the median, since we only have bands and not individuals. What I'm doing is calculating the center point of each income band and multiplying that but the number of households in that band. For the highest band I use double its lower bound.

Is there some way we can calculate an actual figure for median that I'm missing?

Fixed by ee79d7ba88b62bc8c8fedc1e5c309ddfd068e188
