Definitely yes. I'm this kind of guy who likes when something has a strong visual identity, but I'm not myself a great artist, and I think the “OpenUserJS” GitHub organisation could take it as profile picture.
I can be artistic but I'm very slow. I'll have to devote an entire day to get this done properly. That's a commodity I don't have atm.
I'm decent at Photoshop so I can help if needed.
I've going to do it as a vector drawing so that it can be easily resized and edited.
Yeah that's the best way.
I started work on this yesterday. The work is slow going but it's coming along.
Do you have any concept art for it? Would be good to give feedback on it during the whole process.
Sorry, not a real artist so I don't have concept art.
@sizzlemctwizzle Send me the pic or post here and I can try... not a full fledged artist but I think I might be able to do something... this would be a good balance to leverage coding.
In past year, I have posted a request to provide a video game kart with a monkey (represents Greasemonkey) and an OpenUserJs branded kart. If you already know how the mascot of OpenUserJs roughly looks like, I suggest to make a 3D kart to feature in @SuperTuxKart.

Btw this image would be handy for a simple node app landing page while I compile heavy resources. Sometimes the site is taken offline to facilitate faster compiling like atm. It should be back up when it's done (and usually notated in the GH topic tags) but need the extra CPU handling without hindrance for this since it's taking longer and longer now with node.
Btw it's past the usual under ~30 minutes that it normally takes and this is with no other web services running e.g. OUJS. Still going.
We need something like GitHub's Octocat to use as a mascot for the site. My idea is called the Magical Mechanical Userjs Bird (or M2UB). It's based on one of my father's works and is a blue bird with visible gears in its chest and a wind-up handle on it's back. We can use him on our error pages and maybe his wind-up handle as our favicon. I'll create him, release it under creative commons, and see what you guys think.
