1 year ago There is not anything in the log file that hints at a bug in OpenVPN - but the detail level is too low to really see what is going on (use verb 3 or verb 4) and it's too short (do not cut off stuff at the beginning and end). But besides this it looks like a generic network issue - TCP is established, and then broken again - could be a firewall on the way, or a broken router, or a server issue.
Also, this issue is missing information on the OpenVPN version in use - please do always use the latest subrelease, so 2.5.9 or 2.6.6 as of today.
This all said, generic user questions ("it does not work, why?") should be first addressed to the VPN admin / VPN provider, and then to the OpenVPN forums or the openvpn-user mailing list. The github issue tracker is for OpenVPN bugs.
I'm Using Acer Nitro I7 Laptop ( Windows 11 OS)
OpenVPN gets connected to the server via my VPN configuration file. However, I can't browse to the desired location. Even though, the OpenVPN application fails the TAP connectivity is still running without errors. Later on, it disconnects after some time resulting a failure to connect to the destination.
