Is it possible to implement a reconnection system like in in >=2.12.0 Ov versions?

Yes. Just transform JavaScript code to Java one

the JS code is immense, can you show/highlight the part to translate?

It is not located in an specific zone... you have to understand it as a whole to be able to replicate it.
