At the SC 26 and 28 May 2020 it was agreed that goals and metrics would be drawn up. The actions are:

[ ] @6a6d74 to draft and circulate a set of goals and metrics to the SC
[ ] All SC members to provide reasons/benefits received to respective organisations as a result of participation in the Association to enable goals to be defined (i.e. @remygiraud @loiclg @klsheets @SungsooDO @mvisa @wqu-bom )

I consider that the Openwis Association can bring multiple benefits to members:

it creates a "critical mass" of countries/organizations to boost WMO projects (eg. WIS2)
it increases the opportunity for members to work closely on projects, including software development
it contributes to reduce the cost that each Member would have to endure for software development related to WIS2 A few years ago, I prepared a deck of slides to present the Association. The subtitle was saying "stronger together". It says it all.
