Flicker Strike avg dmg in PoB lower than in-game with nothing but white copper sword #966

LvL 19 Flicker strike in a white copper sword with nothing else equipped, PoB shows less avg dmg than in game.

In-game 59.6 avg dmg - 38-82 physical - .41 attack time

PoB 56.0 avg dmg - 39-83 physical - .41 attack time

When this scales up with gear, I start getting 100+ extra avg dmg in game vs PoB. I've taken off aura's, curses, flasks, enchants, totems, golems etc so it's just flat physical with no supports.

Straight import without changing settings in PoB when testing with copper sword. Standing in my monster lvl 60 hideout.

I tried changing monster lvl PoB which changes the avg dmg but nothing seems to match up with in-game.

Is PoB wrong somewhere or am I missing something?

Can you post a link to your build? Export the build to Pastebin

It almost certainly has to do with your accuracy, especially considering the damage range is somehow higher in PoB than in-game. Is your character public? Can you post a link to it so I can compare? Importing it and standing in a hideout should work. I don't see anything that would cause it to change. I'll have to look into it more tomorrow.

Apologies, I missed the second checkbox that also hides characters. Fixed.

Well I think I've figured it out where the problem lies. If you want to post your stats again with your regular weapon I can confirm it, as these values are low enough it might just be a fluke that they work out like this.

In PoB, you're doing 11.116 to 23.82 * 3.47 multiplier = 38.572 to 82.655 which rounds to our 39 to 83 or 56 avg. damage after accuracy and crits

In PoE, you're doing the same thing, but unless it has changed, numbers in PoE always round down. I'll see if I can put in a pull request for rounding those numbers down at this point in the calculations. I'll have to check on some of my characters as well to make sure.

This Reddit post confirms they're still rounding down for me: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/5xpzz4/rounding_changes_hidden_26_buff/ (Edit at the bottom)

PoE is showing 2310 avg dmg and PoB is showing 2149.
