Hello Ryan, I didn't get your email yesterday. I have added some more work, will be grateful if you cud provide me the latest file from your cloud account to work locally. Skyscraper is working fine for me but it's still not as efficient as my local machine work is. Also I am using Revit 2014 on my machine, please provide me file which is compatible for that or I'll install Revit 2015. I now have received the sketches for modifications, will work on them in my next session. For profile review, I guess I need to contact odesk support for resolution of the issue. Thanks, Aqdus
Hi @araqdas Let's just stay in Skyscraper, if we can. Let me know if it's too painful.
I'm bringing someone else in to help as well. That way, we can all work together.
Thanks.
Ok Ryan. If there are more people then skyscraper is fine to work. It's just that everything takes me double time to work on skyscraper. Most I can do is to create families in my local machine, which are going to be used in project, and then upload them on skyscraper. Let me know about the deadlines of the project as well. I might be unavailable to work tomorrow. Will continue working from the next day.

Hi @araqdas
Would like to have some renderings by the beginning of the week.
I might do the renderings, we'll see if i have time.
btw. @araqdas meet @testingwaters, @testingwaters meet @araqdas :)
@araqdas is helping on the 'wire railing' scheme.
and @testingwaters is helping with the 'laser cut railing' scheme. Similar to this
Would you guys work together on how best you would like to sepearte the schemes? Whether using Revit's 'design options', or Revit's 'filters'.
Thanks!
Hello Ryan Ok will start working on renderings from next week. Hello Testingwaters, Nice to see you. I propose to separate these schemes by using filters.

Aqdus,
Nice to be collaborating like this. I haven't really explored filters, but will figure it out.
However, I think Design Options is well suited to what we are trying to do here. Shouldn't make much of a difference in any case.
We'll look at ways to incorporate, once I model the railing.

Hi Ryan, I have updated the model as per the revisions marked. Have modified the model as follows
Adjustment the balcony seating 2D kitchen layout on 2nd floor Curtain wall adjustment with 2"X6" mullions Provision of wire railing as per the detail provided(with handrail and steel plate) Adjustment of balcony floor level Addition of ceiling Please review the model and provide comments. Model is saved with latest date at the end.
Vikram, Ok. We can go with design options. I have modeled the railing and have assigned it "Option 1 Set-->Wire Railing_AS"
Regards,
Hi Aqdus,
Going forward (if it's not to painful due to lagging issues), lets use the '1850_Hoffman-St.rvt' located in 'Autodesk 360'
I saved Aqdus's model there.
Let's use the 'Cloud' to save revit families, and archives.
We'll use github to save everything else.
I would like to use 'Revit filters', instead, to separate the various schemes/options. (Among other reasons, they export out via IFC. 'Design Options' do not)
In that '1850_Hoffman-St.rvt' file, I've created the following view templates to easily flip between schemes...
The way it works, is for those revit objects 'NOT' part of a particular scheme, put 'N' in the parameter value. Parameter values have the same name...
Would it be possible to have the 2 schemes done by monday? (the wire railing scheme is basically done)
I plan on working on the renderings--i will do that on monday.
Thanks!
Ok. It's great to separate the schemes by using filters. Sure. Let me know on what lines should be the other design scheme and I'll work on it tomorrow.

About worksharing, you mean that after opening skyscraper, I should access the file from Autodesk 360, moving forward?
Yes, if the project had to be shared between 3 people then working on skyscraper is fine even if it's a bit painful but it's good for sharing project file, so I'll continue working on it.
Please let me know about the other design option or let me know if I should propose it myself, as it's Saturday tomorrow and I'll be able to spe3nd more time on project, if I know what I have to do.
Thanks much,
Aqdus

I should access the file from Autodesk 360, moving forward?
yes, correct. That's the location where we all can work in real-time.
For this first iteration there won't be an option 3. I just put it in there for future expansion, potentially.
Ok. That means I should propose myself, the option 3?
