Hi @AnisGitHub

Was wondering if you could weigh in on my interpretation of building envelop insulation requirements.

Per the mandating code here, for 'Metal Buidings' are we required to have continuous insulation at the walls?

Or could can you do without continuous insulation as long as you are satisfying the 'U-factor' method?

@theoryshaw according to Section : 502.1.2 U-factor alternative, an assembly with a U-factor equal or less than that specified in Table 502.1.2 shall be permitted as an alternative to the R-value in Table 502.2(1). So to answer your questions, we can show compliance based only on the U-Factor alone. However, it recommended to have continuous insulation and eliminate any cold-bridges.
