In Call 6 we revisited some open data science themes, discussing protocols and daily habits that can help save time. We also were joined by Dr. Sonya Dumanis, Deputy Director of Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP), who shared a funder's perspective on implementing open science. Below is a light digest of last week.
Our next call on December 2 will focus on data and coding strategies for future us, and we'll co-design our final call on December 16. Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Goals: We revisited open data science themes from our first calls, tied them into protocols.io and publishing to save time, and discussed implementing open science with special guest Dr. Sonya Dumanis
Light task for next time:
- Have a Seaside Chat with your broader research group
- Look back at a past paper from the lab & see if you'd be able to understand from the paper how to perform the experiments

A few lines from shared notes in the Agenda doc:
- Setting aside the time to do this is critical, but also understanding who is responsible for each aspect within the group. Works best if the work is distributed to those who best know each aspect of the project.
- Put links to code resources/websites you used within your own R markdown files
- DMPs - often high level and not detailed enough when you need it. Scalability an issue too - maybe I could do one project but what about for all projects
