rOpenSci Community Call on Champions / Ambassador Programs #384

I want to organize a community call about the Champions program to share what we did at rOpenSci. It would be great to have other communities that can share what they did in their champions/ambassador programs. So, my question is, would OpenScape like to be one of those communities? I wrote to OLS to invite them too.

Yes to Openscapes participating in your Community Call. Our angle is building Mentor communities (where most Mentors come through the Champions Program initially) to enable them to get / create what they need. Connecting people across centers like NASA Earthdata data centers & NOAA Fisheries Centers that enables them to do and make things together. I could introduce our program briefly and we could invite one or two Mentors/Champions as speakers. They are used to giving lightning presentations together

I'm not able to attend but excited to hear about it. Also, I can open the NMFS Champions Zoom early so no worries; you can show up just at the hour :)

@jules32 The Tuesday coworking is informal, I'll give a very brief intro to Openscapes and then folks ask questions. Steffi's a great facilitator. I'll have some demo stuff up my sleeve in case it gets quiet.

For the community call, there's no date set and no further discussion yet
