Failed to add by Arduino IDE Board Manager #270

after adding URL in preferences, switching to board manager produces following error:

Error downloading https://github.com/Optiboot/optiboot/releases/download/v8.0/package_optiboot_optiboot-additional_index.json

Arduino IDE 1.8.9 on Win10 (Installed as app or from executable has same result). I can download manually by pointing my browser to link but, Arduino is creating/overwriting file with 0 bytes.

Same problem here, probably after adding Digistump or ESP8266 package.
