Hi, Can you plz share the log files for us to debug, steps to collect the logs can be found here - https://aquilereader.wordpress.com/troubleshooting-guide/#logs
Also, can you confirm if you had working internet connection when you tried to open the book?
Yes I can confirm, that I have an active Internet connection (Home Wifi, Deutsche Glasfaser). After your question I tried it even on another Network (Wifi Hotspot, from mobile Phone).
So this are the logs I got. Logs.zip
I followed the guide, by pressing X
during the loading Screen. The first and the third log file are from the runs with that issue. Unfortunately they are empty. The second run was without that issue, I just opened the settings to get to the logs folder.
In the Windows event Log I found this one:
The program Aquile Reader.exe version 1.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

@dboschm , thanks for the follow-up. This MoAppHang is one of the most trickiest things to debug, but let's take a stab at it. Will you be open to installing private build of the app (with potential fix and more logging) on your machine to help us debug this. If yes, plz drop a mail at optimilia.studios@gmail.com , don't want to share private build publicly. Thanks
Sure. I just wrote you an email.
The App still hangs with the new private build version. These are the Logs I've got: Logs.zip
I Just tried the version 1.0.35.0 and the problem seems to be solved. The book opens immediately. This is the log File I got, after opening the book and closing it again: oebrLog_0.log
That's wired coz in the last build I did not try to fix anything, just added more logging 🤔 Is it consistently working for you now? If you hit the issue again, plz share the logs.
Yes, that's weird. Especially if you haven't fixed anything. I did not get any hangs or crashes with this version so far. I'll let you now when I encounter the issue again.
Closing the bug for now, as it was a no repro with private build.
Hi, I have the same issue. I am stuck in the loading screen aswell. This happens for every file. Should I open a new one or should we continue here?
@Bushuo , plz create a new issue and attach the logs which you can collect by following the steps here - https://aquilereader.wordpress.com/how-to/#collect-logs
Just checking if you also commented on windows10 subreddit? So that I don't follow-up there.
On both, my Windows 10 Desktop PC (i5 16gb) and my Surface Pro 3 (i5 8gb) I got stuck on the loading screen when I try to open an eBook. After about an hour the app closes completely. What I tried so far:
The installed Aquile version is 1.0.32.0
