Getting two errors above when logging into the interface. All seems to have installed fine on the device and HomeKit can connect to the Bridge.

Orachigami commented 1 year ago

@joejlo which Android version do you have? I have this issue on Android 11: working on it.

First error is related to Android restrictions that prevent access to /proc entries.

Rooting the device should do the trick but I need to do more investigation at this point.

joejlo commented 1 year ago

I've just been testing it out on my previous phone on Android 13. I'll probably pick up a pre 11 in a few days and give it another go

joejlo commented 1 year ago

Just wanted to update - I rooted the device and I'm getting the same issues

Orachigami commented 1 year ago

@joejlo thank you for this. This is an important update because now it seems strange for me that my Android 7 launched it smoothly. However, Homebridge UI lanches after all right? This means that webserver works. If webserver works then I just need to:

Will you be interested in testing more when I fix problems above?

Homebridge UI lanches after all right?

Yeah the UI launches fine

Will you be interested in testing more when I fix problems above?

Absolutely, let me know when you need me to test it out and I'll have a look!

Same issue here, on both LG G6 unrooted and Samsung S5 Neo LineageOS 17.1 rooted. Any developement? Thanks!

sapauc commented 1 year ago

Hi, I got it work with below setting. LG V500 (G-pad) / rooted custom firmware 7.0.

The main purpose wss make adding more security camera on top of official homekit cam+homepod. I managed to install Camera-ui and tried FFmpeg camera plug-in but somehow everything I tried were unstable. I think it is also matter whether you install from web ui or Termux itself. feel like it every time works differently.

But I have a fun when I trying all those. Thanks for the author !
