wasn't I supposed to invite him to collaborate

His Chromebook was updating so he was unable to record the repository URL. I told him to memorise the URL instead. Maybe he forgot how to spell "velosify"?

The other possibilities are:

he doesn't have time
his Chromebook is STILL updating
he doesn't know how to spell "Github"
he doesn't know Github's TLD
he doesn't know how to use his browser
he doesn't know that the repository isn't under any subdomain
he doesn't know your username
he does know your username but he doesn't know the repository name and thinks it's required to access the repository
he misspelled your username
he was abducted by aliens

Oh yeah Velosify sounds like Philosophy He most likely mispelled it Took my chromebook about 5 minutes to update He should have time? maybe? He should know what github is He might not know how to use github like me when I first entered And abduction by aliens is the most probable

oh, I left out a few other more obvious possibilities; silly me:

he doesn't have a Github account and...
- he doesn't know how to read English
- he still hasn't found the Github website due to reasons included in my last post
- he doesn't have an email
- he's having difficulties coming up with a username
- he's generating a very long, complex, and secure password
- Github is blocked/restricted for him for some reason
he's being distracted by the coolness of the Internet and Github

He probably won't have a Github account if he never clicked on the link or entered the website
English! The hardest language in the world!
He most likely has heard of Github (hopefully)
He has a school email that is very limiting and bland
usernames are hard I don't want one to be named something like hellos42039948:D
I'm assuming he doesn't have high standards for security
Its not blocked on the chromebooks?

Don't judge an email by its gmail UI design.

You assumed wrong. He's still using the default Hoover password which means he hasn't been hacked yet.

He could be on a different computer with parental controls or in a different country.

I mainly don't like the PAUSD logo (I think its still there)

If he has the default hoover password anyone who knows certain information about him can go into his account

Yes the parental controls is what I thought too
