Hi,

I just tried the orchid OS with test flight and activating it and checking my IP, still shows my providers IP address :|

Another aspect is that the activation button should show in green when activated or so, as the light pink vs the dark pink is not clear of when it is activated.

In both cases it doesnt hide my IP

iOS 12.3.1 iPhone 7

Hello @frozeman,

Thank you for taking the time to help test out our app. The iOS app you currently have installed is not the VPN that you might have been expecting. Instead, it is a packet analyzer that shows you all of the outbound network connections being made from your device.

The prompt to install the VPN profile and the VPN indicator text at the top of your screen are an implementation detail around how we are gathering the information. The app establishes a VPN connection back to your device. None of the analytics data ever leaves your device. There is also no VPN connection established with a remote server. This is why your IP address is not hidden.

We are still working on the bandwidth marketplace (VPN) that you've heard of and were expecting. We will be sure to let you know once we have something available for you to try out.

As for the activation button, we are aware that it can be a bit confusing at present. We are currently iterating on a few possible improvements internally, and we hope to have something to share soon. TestFlight will notify you when updates are available.
