Install alfresco-pdf-toolkit amp successfully but fail to start Alfresco after that

Dear All,

I am using Alfresco 4.2e.

I tried both version 1.2 and 1.3. I applied the amps successfully. But after install the amps, the alfresco failed to start.

The error message in alfresco.log is as follows:

I have got the old version 0.98 which do support 4.2c. But it is not supporting 4.2e.

Dear All,

I also tested version 1.2 and 1.3 (amps) for alfresco 5.0d There is error in installation for 1.3 while 1.2 installed successfully.

However, when starting alfresco, it has got the same error

Do I need to install other software before applying the amps?

Version 1.3 installs on 5.0d if you bypass the installation error by using bin/apply_amps.sh -force (which ignores that an existing WAR file is being replaced). Otherwise only the share (not repo) component is getting installed in the 1.3 edition.

The 1.2 snapshot seemingly added features that would now be dependent on code exclusive to the enterprise edition, likely the source of the startup error. 1.3 release notes indicate a correction of this to be compatible with the community edition.

This was a problem with earlier releases on community, and has been resolved in the latest 1.3 beta
