Settings menu cancel improvement and cleanup of exit #251

Exit is now a private function for closing the menu.

We load all the changes made in the current heading before cancelling to make sure the user hasn't made any changes before not showing the popup.

I've tested this pretty heavily, merging. It is a small change :).
