Whisper to GPT Feature Not Working as of September 11, 2024 #14

I’ve encountered an issue with the "Whisper to GPT" feature starting today, September 11, 2024. The feature does not show up on the chat line and is unresponsive when using the hotkey. I’ve tried across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge), but the issue persists in all of them.

This feature was working fine prior to today, so I wanted to bring it to your attention in case this is a bug or service disruption.

I'm having the same issue, it's likely that a slight redesign of the chatgpt ui caused this.

Hello guys, OpenAI tend to change their UI exclusively when I'm on vacation :) I've fixed the issue for the main prompt and uploaded the new package version now. Hopefully Google will review this in a timely manner. The 'edit message prompts' will not work for the new version, but these are secondary for me to fix, as I am very limited on time now and the working main prompt will do for now, even tho it currently works quirky with the textarea focus. Once I'm back in my office, I'll fix for the secondary inputs and the quirky focus in the main prompt. Thank you guys for letting me know! Cheers!

Edit: 1.2.10 version is live in chrome extensions store now

Shit, it's gone again. I had it for a day, and now it was wiped out with another Chrome extension.

Like in the email I sent you discussing how there was a framing issue well that issue popped up again and refreshed the page, and lost Whisper to Chagpt and Grammarly

When logged out https://chatgpt.com/ the extension works. When log in the extension mic is gone.

Okay, I have implemented a fix and submitted the new package for review to Google. Hope they will make the review in timely manner. Thanks for the head-up on the issue!

Hey guys,

I've just uploaded another version. Hopefully, this will fix the issue you're encountering, although no major changes were made. It looks like version 1.2.11 worked for the majority of users, but for some reason, some users still encountered the button not being inserted into the HTML.

In case this happens, I've added some logging now. So with version 1.2.12, if you don't see the button again, please let me know what your console outputs regarding the extension.
