Mining Caves Support Thread

I have a question about your Mining Caves mod, I have created a new world, but I have turned to creative to see if it generates the caves, but I don't see them... are the caves generated automatically?

If the world was generated with the mod installed it should add them to the world. If you enable devcommands and use the command: "find VV_SilverCave 10" it will find the closest 10 and list their coordinates and add temporary map pins to your map for the game session.

I tried, and this comes out "Found 0 of VV_SilverCave. showing 0 closest... I have tried to extend the range from 10 to 20 or 30 or 40 or 60 even 100 tells me the same thing.

use the genloc, the console generates but does not generate the VV_CopperTinCave and VV_SilverCave.

It is a new world, and in an old world the same thing happens too.

I still haven't made this mod work, it seems that it is not compatible with other mods, Even when I leave the game and try to enter again, the game crashes.

For further debugging help please reach out to me in my discord. There is a link on every mod. It is very hard to figure out what is going wrong using github issues due to slower response times.

• When generating a new world with this mod installed correctly it should be placing the caves without issues.
• If adding to an existing world in singleplayer the genloc command is needed when in "devcommands" mode to enable cheats. This however only tries to add them to unexplored areas and if there is no room you will see a warning message in your log. If there are none placed you will need a mod that can add them to already explored areas, which I do not have any recommendations since I do not use one myself.
• When adding to a server I would recommend taking the world offline and adding them in singleplayer mode. I do not know a good method to update the server since it requires other mods that I have not tested myself.

Love the mod but was having a similar issue with the Mod loading. Did a little testing. If you have Smoothbrain's Jewelcrafting and/or Therzie's Monstrum mods installed, Mining Caves appears to not be loading.

Tested with only Mining_Caves v0.1.4 and Jewelcrafting v 1.5.20 on a new world/new character Devcommands activated, could not find VV_SilverCaves or the CopperTin Caves Removed Jewelcrafting and caves would be found.

Tested as above with only Mining Caves and Warfare v1.6.8 and caves were not found.

Other popular mods tested Tested with Mining_Caves v0.1.4 and most of the other Smoothbrain projects as well as Valheim Legends, Magicheim, Wacklymoles WackyEpicMMOSystem, EpicLoot, Warefare and Armory all installed.

• Devcommands activated, find VV_SilverCave and CopperTinCave found locations.
• Adding Jewelcrafting and/or the Monstrum mods to the mix and Mining Caves could not be found.

Didn't notice any major errors in the log but not a modder. Just wanted to share what came up.
