Quick Access - Displays in Wrong Version #105

Closed LeeFried closed 3 years ago

Describe the bug When creating Quick Access buttons via Desktop App v1.2, they only show up for the users who still have v1.1 installed. They also only show on the Orkestra tab, not a new tab if specified. To get the Quick Access to show in Revit on version 1.2, the user must open the Properties dialog from within Revit and upload the buttons themselves. If at any point Orkestra refreshes, by restarting Revit or clicking the Refresh button, the Quick Access tab and buttons disappear.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create Quick Access setup in Desktop App
  2. Open Revit with v1.1 to see Quick Access buttons
  3. Open Revit with v1.2 and there are no Quick Access buttons

Expected behavior Quick Access buttons to appear automatically, on the correct tab, for v1.2 users. Incompatibility with v1.1 is expected.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

In Which context did it happen (please select from the following list) : Orkestra Desktop app , Orkestra Revit Addin

Hey @LeeFried ! thank you for reporting this. It is normal that users with 1.1.1 see all quickaccesses in the Orkestra Tab. If you wish for them to have your Online QAs in custom tabs/pannel, they'll have to upgrade to 1.2.0 . I've tried to reproduce the scenario you described and things seem to be operating normally. Can you please let me know if the following video describes what you've been doing ?

I followed the same methods as your video. After I log in to the Revit App, the new tab does not appear. The tools also do not appear in the Orkestra tab. I verified both my Desktop App and Revit Add-In are v1.2

This turned out that the issue was mine. I had workspaces in another hub that were named exactly the same as those I wanted in the ribbon. Once I removed or renamed the other workspaces, the ribbon tab and tools showed up just fine.
