You are correct Orkestra uses the Windows user name. A good solution would be to show both windows name and Orkestra user name (that way you'll get a little bit more information in case you have a generic Orkestra account for the users).
I'm actually not too worried about generic accounts. The issue is that someone in my organisation will open a graph, see it doesn't work, look at who was the last person to work on it (so that they contact that person and report the error) and they'll have no idea who "sydata" is.
A user name should be friendly and communicative.
Implemented in v.0.1.92
When I upload stuff to Orkestra or make modifications to it, the name that appears under the Last Updated By field seems to be my Windows user name and that is not the best for us. As you can see from the screenshot below, the user name that appears is sydata , which is not going to be too helpful for my colleagues to know that I have worked on that file. This is very important because people that will use the graph in the organization will need to know who to ping in case they have issues with it.
Expected behavior I would like to be able to set up my user name or at least have Orkestra pick up a different one.
Observed behavior A clear and concise description of what yhappened.
