I need to investigate why the warning button that lets you update the packages is not showing in the Dynamo ViewExtension though because it is supposed to be like in the Revit Addin.
The Dynamo plugin will show workspaces that have issues (like not synced packages for example) grayed out. The workspace and subfolders are simply gray and impossible to select and the user doesn't know why this is happening.
There must be some sort of indication that explains to the user why the graphs under that workspace are not available and how to fix it. Even better if the fix (especially when it's just a matter of syncing the packages) is prompted directly where the workspace is grayed out.
To fix the problem (and to realise what the problem was in the first place) I had to go to the Desktop app, see there was the orange triangle at the bottom saying there were sync issues with the package, click it and then I went back to the Dynamo VE, logged out and in again and at that point it was working. This didn't happen on my machine, but one of the interns and they guy was quite confused. You need to be pretty familiar with the nuances of Orkestra to have an intuition of how to fix it.
I can already see this being a pretty big roadblock in a bit studio, where people will just try to use Orkestra, see the graphs they need to use as unavailable without understanding why and just move on.
