Orkestra v.2021.1.1.0 desktop app slow to load #72

Describe the bug Using the Orkestra Desktop app it is extremely slow to load meta data. When changing the selected script the meta data properties often dont refresh

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Log in
  2. Select Workspaces
  3. Navigate to Folder
  4. Select Graph Name
  5. Open Properties Pane
  6. Select new Graph
  7. Properties graph doesnt refresh

Expected behavior I would expect the UI to be more responsive. This is not the only issue that is slow. I know that moving graphs between folders is not very responsive also.

Observed behavior User Interface slow to load/update.

Thanks for reporting @Kranzy , will look into the refreshing of metadata issue, hopefully I'll be able to solve it in the upcoming hotfix . For the performance related issue, I'll get in touch with you. It would be great to see it in action in order to address what may be causing it.

Hey @Kranzy ! There have been quite some performance improvements on the v.1.1.1 release with optimized web requests and better memory usage. There still is a lot of performance to gain by getting the content to closer endpoints.. but can you check and confirm it's faster on your side?

Hei @Kranzy ! you whould notice major speed improvements with v.1.4.0 . Please let me know when you get to try it out.

Fixed in 1.5.0 . Feel free to reopen if you still expérience important lag
