Select discography albums to download #210

Howdy I'm coming up with a great feature idea again ;)

But seriously, I was wondering if there could be a way of adding exceptions when downloading complete discog of an artist. I explain through a workflow.

Let's say that I have found, and listened to couple songs of an artist on spotify or YT, and bought his album as cheap as it was possible. After some time BC sent me a mail with info that I could be interested in listening to this very artist, and I have found that he released f.e. 30 albums. It's hard for me to listen somebody's whole discography on bandcamp to check out if there's something worth paying my hard earned 1$. So the "dl artist discog" option is gorgeous. But I don't need to download the album I've already purchased so adding it as an exception not to be downloaded with whole discography would be great. Exceptions provided either as a name or as an url - can't imagine other ways. This makes a bit more comfortable and prevents a bit from having a complete mess in downloads.

Other example is when I find that an artist released new albums or added some older stuff that wasn't published on bandcamp. Downloading complete discography again doesn't make much sense. Especially when already published albums may have changes. I don't have a clue how could it be possible to make exceptions in this approach. Maybe download dir could be scanned to check for exact or similar names taken from download name pattern? Additional popup with confirmation? Don't know the possibilities, if any.

I will propose something a bit different: I've been thinking of introducing a way to select the albums you want to download by adding a step after pasting an artist URL, where all albums found would be displayed in a list, and only the selected albums will be downloaded then.

Basically, the workflow would be :

Ohhh generating firstly a checklist upon processing discography download is a fantastic idea. Way simpler than I imagined, and could even wish for.

Could be set as an advanced option, or with a similar checkbox next to "dl artist discog", so that current default behavior would still download whole discography.
