Fatal error compiling builtin function 'apply': Segmentation fault

• Alpine Linux 3.12
• downloaded the source and built (master branch) according the instructions

The browser opens just fine, but whenever I try to go to any web site, the moment I press "ENTER" it crashes and I get the following error:
