if theres only 1 song in an album, it will play the singular track twice.

I don't think so. Are you really sure that it's the same file ? you can check that by doing right click > Open containing folder, or you can also switch to the playlist tab and see if there is only one file in your playlist or not

safariragoli commented 2 years ago

i've checked, it plays twice, only one file in a folder, probably a sorting issue.

Ottodix commented 2 years ago

Did you use a custom sorting? Custom grouping? And did you switch to the playlist tab, in order to look at the playlist, seeing if it contain only one file or 2 ? Because the songs displayed in the library are contained by a playlist (foobar use playlists for everything)

safariragoli commented 2 years ago

it appears that somehow the issue has disappeared, if it reappears i'll let you know.

safariragoli commented 2 years ago

nvm recreated it

apparently its unrelated to sorting, im in the library view and the overall sort is by genre.

safariragoli commented 2 years ago

okay, figured out the issue, for some reason foobar is reading from a zip file that has the music inside of it aswell, weird.

Ottodix commented 2 years ago

It's a feature. Foobar read zip files. But yep, it's not the intended behavior, so I think it should be disabled by default. But well, foobar isn't for the average user
