white screen on linux #307

After installing the theme files into the profile directory, when I open foobar it shows nothing but a white screen. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot eole for linux?

Were you able to see anything in foobar before adding the theme files? Also, do you see anything on foobar like a titlebar is it just a whitescreen?

the titlebar shows up, it just says foobar2000, but other than that it is completely blank

Alright, but did anything appear in foobar before adding the theme files? Trying to figure out if this is in fact an issue with skin or just your setup of foobar

Foobar worked fine until I placed the contents of the theme files into my profile folder, and select columns ui. The default user interface works fine.

If you press 'Ctrl+P' does the preferences menu appear? If so, try going to display and seeing if you can see regular foobar after setting the user interface module to default under 'Display', its possible this is just an issue with columns ui

Yes, all of this works. The issue must be columns ui.

What are you using to run foobar on linux, Wine? I'd recommend researching issues with columns ui on linux. A quick search indicated that there can be some compatibility issues, and you may be able to resolve them by adding some missing dlls or using different windows compatibility modes
