Remove or update Valley of the dead from Control

I like playing this map, it's beautiful and I like the "gear system". Sadly, a lot people love spawncamp on this map and it's like that at each game (come play and you'll understand)

I think this map should be removed or update to prevent the spawncamp

I do agree that spawncamping is a problem on this map. After someone acquires the OP gear it's easy to farm the other team.

The map is, however, very great looking and the gameplay is unique as well.

There are three exits to the spawn.. seems hard to cover them all. Especially seeing how the base is pretty big. Map has great ratings of 3.71.

@Electroid No, I already saw people spawncamping. If we were spawncamping, there are 3 exits :

• the middle one : always people trying to spawncamp The exit which give access to the coal is kept. The last one, they can go out without being kill immediately but when they'll try to go to a hill for example, spawncampers of the middle exit'll see him and run after him

Isn't spawncamping/killing illegal on this map? Because I thought that when you had different tiers (ex.: leather - iron - diamond) of gear in 1 map, spawn camping/killing was not allowed. So if you just make it so that everyone will realize it's illegal, the camping/killing will stop.

If it ain't I get how the spawn camping is very annoying, because the ones doing that clearly have better armor, and it's exactly that OP armor that makes the farming so easy.

I like Valley of the Dead for it's beauty and different gear system from others, though it's kinda turning into Valley of the Killfarmed in most matches.

@DoomRobotBoy Spawncamping is not illegal because it's KotH. This map is really large and it takes ages to get places. I suggest adding more portals to get back to spawn. Because this map has a gear system, spawncamping/killing happens in almost every map. One player on one team can get all the good gear and start spawncamping the other team. The opposing team can't get better armor because they are continually dying while the team with the OP player can improve their items. @Seode It is illegal, the only exceptions are TDM and Blitz:

Spawn camping rules do not apply on Team Deathmatch and Blitz maps.

@firstvirus92 AFAIK KotH is a TDM variant.

But I agree, this map is first to gear (spawn camp or killing enemies in coal recently spawned) = Win.

I've never seen a team holding a control point, just kill farming near enemy spawn.

Last time I played this map it was from 16v16 to 18v8 - 16v6.

REMOVE IT. It's very easy to kill farm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN6JA9YEQuc). Players that join in even two minutes after the start are at a major loss in terms of resources. Also, the points take way too long to capture, I rarely see people even try and go for them.

You only get points from hills.. so killing the enemy will not benefit your score. If they are winning, it's purely from hills captured. If a team is able to overpower the other, why stop them?

It turns into the better geared players killfarming and holding back the entire enemy team as their teammates get points. The gear snowballs too fast so that they can't be taken down.

Basically we just forgot to get the points.

Electroid have you even played this map? You can't stop an enemy team once they are fed with diamond armor and speed potions...
