Just to be sure, when you load the API, are you using BarChart.PACKAGE?  Or are 
you passing "corechart" to use the new chart look and feel?

I know that not all of the older features are supported in the new look and 
feel.

I am passing "corechart" to use the new chart look and feel.
I have changed from gwt-2.0.0 to gwt-2.0.3 and it is working well now.

it also works in gwt-1.6 
it works in browser mode but not in hosted mode

I don't see axis font size supported in the new list of options for corechart - 
did I miss it?

I believe they are going to add more functionality to core charts, which is why 
we didn't remove it all together.
