My folder is not present after instllation of new Window

What's the problem?
How can I recover hidden files and folders from my drive that was hidden by a 
software ‘ LocK-A-FoldeR 3.10.3 ‘?  I’d installed new Window 8.1 and 
after installation of new Window my folder was not present in my drive. How I 
can retrieve it?

How often you face this problem ?

Last time my Window was 'Window 7' but after installation of Window 8.1 my 
folder with the name of 'Personal' in D-drive was not present.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

As i did not unhide my folder before installation of new window .Now plz tell 
me how I can retrieve this?
What version of the product are you using? On what version of Windows?

Last time I was using Window 7 but now I am using Window 8.1.
Any previous version produced the same problem ?

What is the language of your operating system and keyboard ?
