Lock-A-Folder - Without unlocking the folder, updated the OS to windows 8 from WIndows 7

What's the problem?
Without unlocking the folder updated the system from windows 7 to windows 8. 
During upgradation Lock-A-Folder program erased. Now in windows8 i could locate 
the hidden file with CMD but not able to open the same.

I had just formatted my pc but unfortunately i forgot to unlock a particular 
folder in other drive now i install lock a folder in my pc but how can i 
recover the same folder
