We could just grab some free space from Acquia or Pantheon?

Does the acquia free give us production? Just a quick look implies dev and stage only http://www.acquia.com/free

Whereas Pantheon appears free for the community websites https://pantheon.io/free-website-management-platform-beyond-hosting

I expect that many people in the group also have a server kicking around that could host it, but might just be simpler to outsource for now, and revisit when we encounter issues or can't stand the marketing emails any longer.

I think outsourcing may be easier, as one less thing we have to manage/own whilst learning D8. As for hosting, as both do it for free, I have no real preference. I have used Acquia before, but that isn't necessarily for/against. Has anyone used both for comparison?
