Can players refuse to assist? #4

In the case that a player requests assistance to clear a tile, do other players choose whether or not to assist?

Based on that, if a player requests a number of assistants but not enough other players agree to assist, do they still roll the dice?

Hmmmmm.....

Players could refuse to assist. If a player asks for 3 people to help defeat a 2-tile, it may be sensible to refuse - otherwise you're advancing the slime counter for nothing.

But, of course, refusal could make other players grumpy with you. A risk you may not want to take :-)
