I wrote a little application that will make it easy-ish for us to take pictures of our inventory items.
I've installed it on the iMac and have already processed a few of the bins in the inventory closet.
What needs doing
I'd like it if other people could help taking pictures of the remaining items.
How to do it
Find the program on the iMac desktop (the icon is currently on the top-right of the screen)
When you start it up it looks like this:
All the inventoried items are listed in the grid on the left. The grid has a column indicating whether an item has a photo (green means yes, red means no).
Select an item without a photo.
Check its Location field to find out where in the Inventory closet to find the item
Retrieve the item
Place it on the green cutting mat (for size reference)
Snap a picture using the Take Picture button on the right side of the application (below the camera preview)
_Return the item to its ORIGINAL location_
Repeat from step 1.
If we all do a few items here and there this will get finished in no time!
