Thinking about it, the printer only needs to turn 90 degrees so it doesn't need to be fully round, and the bottom plate can be cut so that the only time it's fully stable is in the final resting positions.
Ultimaker not housed in cupboard anymore. No need for slidy table.
There's a need for easy access at the back of the Ultimaker 3D printer to change the spool. The solution proposed is to use a turntable ( think Lazy Susan ) that the printer can stay on. It needs to fit in the cupboard and also be able to offer enough support to not tip the printer during normal use. The turntable should also be able to lock rotation when in use.
