It will be good to join maps of the same indicator i.e. map of moderate and severe stunting side-by-side. However, using facet_wrap is not usually the best approach for this because the scale of the values for moderate and for severe tend to be very different and if the scales of the values are fixed to the values with the wider range, the other indicator will not show variance on the map. Instead, I would recommend using the patchwork package for this - see https://patchwork.data-imaginist.com/index.html - to create a map like this:
It will be good to put labels on each state (or locality if you are plotting locality). Look into geom_sf_text() (which is what I use in the plots above) or geom_sf_label().
