I'll make a final decision on this later on and then add some notes/alter population options in the schematic. But, my provisional grounding plan is:

  1. We float the stabilizer front panel so that it connects electrically to the box but not to stabilizer
  2. We connect the AFE panel to the AFE board in exactly 1 place using the DNPd resistor right by the main star ground point
  3. We connect the AFE panel to the chassis electrically
  4. We tie either COIL_COMMON or the chassis to the optics table

That way we get a nice star ground with no loops...

Here is what we will do:

  1. Stabilizer connects its circuit ground to the panel ground in several places (can't avoid that)
  2. Connect both stabilizer and AFE grounds to the chassis (e.g. star washers on case)
  3. Then either ground the chassis, or ground coil common
