[Suggestion] Options and Information #1

There are 2 ideas I'd like to suggest:

  1. When trying to join a blacklisted server, Inform the user of why the server is blacklisted.
  2. Offer people the ability to join blacklisted servers anyways after seeing a prompt informing them of the blacklist.

These features would make the mod a whole lot more useful to the anti-pay2win movement as we could then see when a server is accepted to the blacklist immediately once it is while also still being able to continue helping the server comply with the terms of service. This would also help people know what risks joining a particular server might pose. The general userbase isn't likely to read the banlist for the reasons, but iif it tells you ingame it would help users decide if joining that server is a risk they want to take; For example if a server is known for maliciously using player IPs you might want to join a proxy, while if a server is just pay to win you might not care too much to utilize a proxy.

Thanks for your opinions! I'm not working on any OxideMC projects rn (they're unofficially dead) but I'd definitely like to revive them (mostly this) soon™. The fabric mod was just a PoC that I quickly wrote and I didn't intend for it to be used by anyone, and the list was primarily to be used by the anti-P2W movement.

For the first idea, my original idea was to have local lists created by the user, which can whitelist and blacklist servers. As for the second one, it was on my ideas list for the project but I never implemented it.

I hope I can make time to revive this project, maybe outside of the OxideMC organization as all projects of OxideMC are unofficially dead and I have no plans of reviving other projects rn.

Sorry for the late response, I'd be really excited to see this revived, considering how relatively bad of a job mojang is currently doing at handling ToS violations this mod could be a really big help for all involved!
