Have you ever launched Minecraft 1.8.8? What's the path you're decompiling Minecraft from?

I launched 1.8.8 a few minutes ago before I ran the decompile and I'm following the tutorial on the setup I extracted the mcp file into a folder and ran the decompile bat file.

nvm fixed took like 30 minutes but it finally started copying
