Actually it was suggested by Cristóbal Medina López that sometimes the port number might be taken up by some other application so the command might not run. This way the player gets the assigned port. This little change always helped me to run the local team.

Hi @anu1097, the port by default is 9999, so, the flag --player_port 9999 is not necessary when you want to use that port.
