A less common but very powerful use of PAHFIT is to take a fitted spectrum or spectral average, then up-res the lines to target a different instrument or hypothetical instrument. Right now this is a hard-codeding affair, but if we had the ability to take a given PAHFIT fit result, and recreate the spectrum according to arbitrary instrument packs, or at an arbitrary resolution, this would be valuable for mission planning, preparing science cases, etc.

Great idea! Very useful and something that would be great to have soon. Helpful for simulating spectra for JWST. We could is this to create the input spectrum for the MIRI simulator.
