README.md comparison Table updated to markdown format.
Mattioda et al. (2020) reference updated along with doi in all files present.
Correct paths from example code given in docs .rst files.

Created my new branch and made the changes before doing a "git fetch upstream" to update my local directory to the changes of my last commit/PR. Will create new PR.
