Currently there are two different types of billboard that handle the pixel aspect ratio incorrectly:

Dust particles are rendered assuming that the screen is 512x240 at all times
Level billboards (tree leaves, NYC lamp posts and hydrants) render slightly too thin and also rotate too much at 512x240
