Discrepancy in filtering of genome data from Genome tab-Bacteriophage #2290

Open ARWattam opened 5 years ago

I loaded all bacteriophage data, went to the genome tab, and then clicked on Synechococcus as host. It should have 97 total genomes at that point, but instead there are 157.

I think this is because while Synechococcus has 97 in the list, it is also including things like Synechoccoccus sp WH8102, Synechoccus sp WH7803, Syynchecoccus CB0101, etc because of the way the search in SOLR is working. I know we’ve seen this same thing before with Human and Human,Homo Sapien and cases like that.

Ah. That does explain it. Thanks. I will try sorting on the host column to see it I get my 97 back.

Still, I have been thinking about it, and I clicked on the one host that had 97 genomes. It would be different if I did the keyword search at the top. I still think that if I have that particular selection, it should give me that particular result.
