Crossing 180th meridian #285

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Overlay a path crossing the 180th meridian

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Path wraps around the globe (the long way).

Please provide any additional information below.

Perhaps one way to solve this is to be able to create points from -360 to 360
degrees longitudinally?

Similarly, other overlays will only show up on one side of the 180th meridian
only when the center of the mapview is on the corresponding side of the
meridian.

See two screen shots:
-Red overlays only appear when center of map is 0 to 180 degrees (west).
-Blue flags only appear when center of map is 0 to -180 degrees (east).

Thanks for reopening this ... issue 364 "items east of dateline would still
disappear when map center was west of dateline."
