ITS and TOPS-10 user back in the day. Looking to put up an emulated TOPS-20 soon and later '10 and ITS instances and PDP-8s. Managed PDP-11s and was with the VAX and Alpha from dawn through decline. Ex-DEC.

My main interest is ITS, so I'm curious what your experience with ITS was back in the day?

In the mid-80s I worked with a brilliant systems programmer adept with DEC-10s and VAXen. He had an account on an ITS system at the MIT AI Lab. The culture of the time was that you could get an account on the system if someone else already on it vouched for you, and he did that for me. So I was an Emacs-mode tourist who beheld ITS glory. I remember staying up one night to change the system clock for US daylight saving time. However I lost access to ITS when I left that job and moved on to DEC.
