Design a PDXnode logo

We don't have a logo! Anyone itching to submit a couple of designs?

Am I allowed to assign this to the talents of @nvcexploder and @chrisdickinson ? The style of comics/drawings you guys do would communicate our community well.

So I love the SC2 rank (squat hex) style, like enough that I kinda want to get that as a tattoo. But I know that it wont fit in with the rest of the stickers in how they are full hex. That said I kinda want to get a small set of the top left or bottom right stickers anyway.

The top middle one, and its sunrise/set and night variants are pretty great. I think I like those best from a practical point of view. (For actual logo of our group, shirts, etc)

As far as just words versions, the top left with the minimal bubble looking style is my favorite.

I love the same logo as nvcexploder, but don't care for the 8-bit font. Otherwise, I really like the direction!

I'm not a huge fan of graphic design by committee. I think all of these look awesome. I definitely want to voice support for the 2" regular hexagon format, and for me getting some of these beauties when they're printed. Otherwise, I throw my support behind @chrisdickinson as BDFL - Benevolent Designer For Life.

Alright! Shirt ideas:

Keep in mind, first run of tees will be the pink/purple hexagon logo. I imagine it big and smack dab center on the shirt

leaner/smaller fit: Option 1 Chocolate heather for color selection. Option 2 Charcoal or purple heather gravel for color selection. Option 3 Eggplant heather for color selection. Option 4 Yellow for color. Found another in orange! Option 5 Orange.

Regular fit: Option 1 Charcoal or purple gravel for color selection. Option 2 Yellow, eggplant or heathered purple for color selection. Option 3 Neon Orange or Neon Yellow for color selection.

Please play around with the colors and let me know if any of these are interesting! Bonus points to anyone who chooses one AND photoshops the logo onto the shirt for tonight's meeting to show off.

My vote is for eggplant or charcoal, I think.

NB: we may not be able to take the logo and screen print it as is -- they may have color restrictions (screen printing usually goes a color at a time so many colors could get pricy / hard to accurately render).

WRT to colors: bluemill hand-blends colors to match, but they don't charge any extra for that part of it. they do charge per color, in general, for the over all design, so the less colors, the cheaper it will be.
