Telemetry File

This feature writes a csv file with telemetry data from the telemetry system. It can be found at ./Telemetry/ The first row of the csv corresponds to the headers. The second row corresponds to the units

File types

The system writes three lap types

• Finished lap
  • It contains a full lap.
  • It is written at the end of the lap
  • The filename is {date} {laptime}.csv
• Unfinished lap.
  • It contains an incomplete current lap.
  • It is written when exit the application, in case that there is a running lap
  • The filename is {date} {laptime} unfinished.csv
• Ideal lap.
  • It contains a synthetic lap. Each sector of the lap corresponds with the best sector of each lap during the session
  • It is written when exit the application
  • The filename is {date} {laptime} ideal.csv

Metadata

Each csv file is bound to a metadata file. This file is a json file that contains information about the csv file

Main Components

• Telemetry Lap Writer
  • Main Component
  • It can be found at gameobject PERRINN 424 Nordschleife/TelemetryLapWriter
  • Main Settings:
    • Frequency. The writing frequency, in Hz. Increasing the frequency increases the file size
    • Channels. The telemetry channels that will be written in the csv file. The list order will correspond with the headers order in the file. The name must be the same that the telemetry channel name

• IdealTelemetryLapCreator
  • It generates an ideal lap from a list of laps. The laps don't need to be the session laps, so this class can be used with any list of laps (for example, different drive could send us their laps and we can compute the ideal lap from all the laps)
